Introduction to the hydrocone device and its application in mines

The cone crusher is one of the most important secondary and tertiary crushing machines in sand and mineral processing lines. With its conical design and hydraulic lubrication system, this machine crushes hard rocks such as granite, basalt, silica, and even iron ore with high capacity. Depending on the model, the production capacity of the cone crusher varies between 60 and 300 tons per hour and the inlet size is between 36 and 54 inches.

Hydrocone price and factors affecting it

The price of a hydro crusher depends on various factors and a fixed rate cannot be stated for it. Production capacity, inlet and outlet size, quality of body material and internal parts, brand and engine power are among the most important factors that affect the price of a hydro crusher. In addition, the cost of transportation, installation and after-sales service also play a role in determining the final price. Hydrocon spare parts and accessories

One of the important advantages of a hydraulic press is easy access to spare parts and accessories. Using original parts increases the life of the machine, reduces repair costs, and prevents production line downtime.

How a Hydrocone Crusher Works (Video/Animation)

The hydrocone is a cone crusher that performs the crushing process in a staged and controlled manner. Its function is as follows:

  • The rocks extracted from the mine are first directed to the hydrocone inlet opening through a feeder or conveyor. This opening is precisely adjusted so that the rocks enter the cone of the device uniformly.
  • The rocks are subjected to pressure and abrasion by hitting the inner cone (mantle) and the outer cone surface (concave). This movement of the cone and hydraulic pressure causes the rocks to be crushed into smaller pieces.
  • The hydrocone is equipped with a jack and a hydraulic system that adjusts the distance between the cone and the outer body. By changing this distance, the grain size of the output product is controlled and the rocks are crushed to the desired size.
  • The crushed rocks move down through the cone and become the specified size. Larger stones are returned to the cone for complete crushing, and suitable stones are discharged from the outlet.
  • The crushed product is transported by conveyor or transfer system to the next stages of production (such as washing, screening, and granulation).

FAQs about Cone Crusher Machines (Hydrocone Crushers)

1. What is hydrocone?

Hydrocone; is a cone crusher used for secondary and tertiary crushing of hard and semi-hard rocks. With its conical design and hydraulic system, this device allows for uniform granulation and output size adjustment. Hydrocone is commonly used in granite, basalt, silica, iron ore mines and sand and gravel production lines.

Hydraulic machine repair includes checking and replacing wear parts (such as mantle, concave and head center), hydraulic parts (jack and hydraulic valve), bearings and other mechanical parts. Repair is usually done periodically and preventively to prevent production line downtime. Using original modern sand making machine parts and specialized technical services increases the life of the machine.

The choice of hydrocone size depends on the mine capacity, rock hardness, and crushing purpose. For medium to large iron ore mines, models with an inlet opening of 45 to 54 inches and a production capacity of 180 to 400 tons per hour are usually suitable. Novin Sand Making experts can recommend the optimal model based on the exact needs of the mine.

The hydrocone has compression and cone crushing and is suitable for hard and uniform rocks, while the cobit has impact crushing and is mostly used for semi-hard and soft rocks. The hydrocone has lower energy consumption and more uniform grain size, and its depreciation is lower than the cobit.

The hydrocone is equipped with a hydraulic system and a jack to adjust the opening. By changing the distance between the inner cone and the outer body, the size of the output product can be adjusted. This feature allows for precise granulation production for construction materials and sand and gravel production lines.
